Thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour today, by Nigel.
He was very knowledgeable and we are looking forward to going back to see what else has been restored.

Hidden gem with incredibly knowledgeable guide
Fabulous, so worth a visit! The volunteer guide who showed us round was full of so much knowledge and information and we could have listened to her all afternoon. We loved seeing the water power in action and the demo of the different machinery. There is so much history tied up in this building and the enthusiasm of the volunteers running it is wonderful to see. Would highly recommend a visit!

..our tour guide was excellent
We know the Dales well and have visited Hawes many times, but recently visited Gayle Mill for the first time. I can't think why we haven't done so before! It has had such an interesting 'life', and our tour guide was excellent.
I thought you might be interested in seeing a drawing which I did after our visit:

Fascinating visit to Gayle Mill as part of the Heritage Open Days
Guided tour from very personable & knowledgeable gentleman (who never told us his name!) This is a gem of a place & needs to be better advertised!
Excellent Tour
We had a very interesting and informative tour. The place is amazing! Well worth a visit when in the Yorkshire Dales. 5 stars.
Love the Machines!
I've been to the dales many times but didn't realise this beauty was there! It's great to see old buildings looked after in this way...and those old machines and tools.. fantastic!
